Bridget

Meet Bridget, a 12-year-old Black Shetland pony mare that stands at 12.1hh. Bridget is an energetic and spunky pony who was said to have some sort of driving experience, but we would still consider her green. While she is slightly blind in her right eye, she can still see movements and shadows without issue and it doesn’t seem to affect her much. Bridget is in good weight, sound, and healthy.

Bridget requires an experienced handler as she can be anxious and has poor ground manners that need improvement. Although she can lead well, she tends to be pushy and invades personal space. She also gets extremely anxious and uncomfortable in confined spaces such as small pens or stalls, which may cause her to pace or jump out. Bridget would do best in a 24/7 turnout setting where she can move around freely and feel more comfortable. Bridget may be a bit tricky to catch at times, but she is usually receptive to being approached with some patience and encouragement.
