Meet Crown, (registered name “Celebrity Crown”) a 23-year-old Chestnut Standardbred gelding standing 16.2-3hh tall. He is a big boy that is full of personality. Crown is a in-your-pocket type of horse who enjoys pets, treats or being brushed. Crown is mid-to-high in the herd order, but gets along well with both mares and geldings of any size or age.

He leads, loads, stands for the farrier, ties, and respects fencing, but he cannot be ridden due to mild arthritis in his hocks. He is currently not on any medication and doesn’t require it per our vet. His only downside is that he has EOTRH syndrome (Equine Odontoclastic Tooth Resorption and Hypercementosis) and will require a dental procedure in the future to extract bad or loose teeth. Crown is still working on his weight and muscle and will need to continue to be on grain to help out with that. Crown does the best in a 24/7 turnout-like setting vs being stalled.
