Meet Pippi, a 10-year-old grade Appaloosa pony mare who stands 14hh and is 100% sound. Pippi can stand for the farrier, ties, loads, leads and lunges without problem. Pippi is a very agile and athletic girl who needs consistency to keep her busy mind on track. She has had most of her riding done in a round-pen with a walk, trot and canter or out on the trail. In the round-pen and in general she prefers a gentle, but firm hand with a rider who is balanced with a steady seat and lots of experience. On the trail, Pippi has encountered logs, brush, dogs, deer, water and all types of terrain. Pippi is bold and confident, but still green under the saddle. Most of the time, she is a straight-forward ride, but when she is not in consistent regular work, she can become “spicy” and have some attitude. She is also extremely herd-bound, but if you keep her mind busy, she is a smart and respective girl.

With lots of time and consistency, Pippi can be seen excelling as an endurance, speed and a possibly jumping mount with an appropriate experienced rider to bring out her full athletic potential. Pippi does well being stalled or having the ability of a 24/7 turn-out. She is an easy-keeper and is on a hay-only diet.

Adoption fee: $800
