Meet Sasha, a lovely 10-year-old Bay Standardbred gaited pony mare standing at 14.1-2hh. Sasha is said to ride, but we would consider her green and she would need a refresher before being ridden again. Sasha is a healthy and sound pony with no known medical issues or concerns. She is still working on regaining weight and muscle again.

Sasha is low-to-mid in the herd order and tends to be vocal when meeting new horses. Sasha leads, lounges, grooms and stands tied as well. She is gaited. Sasha needs someone with the patience to work with her on picking up her hind feet for the farrier, due to previous traumas, she can struggle in that area. Sasha has been trailered before and needs some minor encouragement to load sometimes, but otherwise, handles transport well. Sasha can be a little pushy at times due to some separation anxiety when leaving the pasture. Sasha would prefer and do her best in a 24/7 turnout setting, as being put into a stall makes her feel claustrophobic. Despite these minor quirks, Sasha is a friendly mare who enjoys human interaction, being pet and brushed. While it may take her some time to warm up to new people, she will appreciate any effort to bond with her. With a person to love her and to call her own, some training and patience, Sasha will make you a loyal and wonderful trail partner or even more!

Adoption fee: $600
